HUNT SLONEM: NATURE RESPLENDENT Solo Exhibition
Jessica Hagen Fine Art + Design is pleased to announce the opening of HUNT SLONEM: NATURE RESPLENDENT on Saturday June 27, 2026, from 5:00- 7:00pm. This solo exhibition marks Hunt Slonem’s sixth solo show with Jessica Hagen’s gallery and will feature paintings of butterflies, birds, flowers, and of course, bunnies for which he is so well known. This year’s show is especially meaningful to the artist who recently purchased Newport’s storied mansion Seaview Terrace. Hunt Slonem is considered one of the great colorists of his time and brings a freewheeling sense of awe, wonder and detail to his artwork, as well as his living and working spaces. Based in New York City, this Maine-born creative force of nature has had over 300 one-man shows in galleries and museums internationally. Hunt Slonem’s work is also in the permanent collections of 250 museums including the Guggenheim, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Whitney, and the Moreau Foundation, and is part of private collections all over the world, including those of many celebrities. Jessica Hagen states, “What a thrill to be presenting Hunt Slonem’s sixth solo show at my gallery. Hunt loves Newport and Newport loves him right back, especially now that he has a home here. Hunt has had a long and remarkable career and I’m always in awe of his work. It will be so much fun to have him join us for opening night.”
