LUMINOUS COLOR opens on Saturday May 9, 2026
Jessica Hagen Fine Art + Design is pleased to announce the opening of LUMINOUS COLOR featuring glass artist Steve Easton and painter Leslie Parke with a reception on Saturday May 9, 2026, from 5:00 - 7:00pm. This two-person exhibition is a celebration of pure, vibrant color. Curated by gallery owner Jessica Hagen, LUMINOUS COLOR takes the viewer on an almost other-worldly journey into the coalescence of transcendent, translucent, and light filled expressions of color in two and three dimensions.
Working in cast glass, artist Steve Easton is a graduate of Rhode Island School of Design. Easton describes his work as “a collision between an obsession with art history and a fascination with nature.” The artist creates transparent, color saturated, three-dimensional forms in lead crystal. Motifs include antiquity inspired columns and busts, as well as naturally inspired forms such as eggs and bird’s nests.
Leslie Parke received her BA and MA from Bennington College and has spent fifty years engaged in the practice of painting. Parke’s paintings feature complex layers of color and gesture that are worked until the surface vibrates with an energetic field that reflects and refracts light that has been described as “an Aurora Borealis in a zip-lock bag.” Leslie Parke has work in numerous museum and corporate collections throughout the United States and Europe.
The show will be on display from May 9th through June 13th.
