Jessica Hagen Fine Art + Design is pleased to announce the new exhibition: LIGHT + COLOR: Paintings by Jane Bloodgood-Abrams and Tom Vieth. The show opens with a reception on Saturday, August 6th from 5:00- 7:00pm. Jane Bloodgood-Abrams is a Hudson River School painter who hails from New York’s Hudson Valley. Tom Vieth lives and paints in France’s Loire Valley and the influence of French artists Cezanne, Dufy and Matisse is evident in his work. Gallery owner Jessica Hagen states, “Though these artists paint in very different styles, their mutual love of light whether conveyed with paint or gold leaf, is obvious. We are all the fortunate beneficiaries of the exquisite beauty that they have created.”
LIGHT + COLOR will be on display through August 28, 2022.
Jessica Hagen Fine Art + Design was founded in 2005 and features contemporary American art, including painting, sculpture, photography, ceramics, textiles, and jewelry. Located in the historic Point section of Newport, the gallery’s summer hours are Wednesday through Saturday 11:00-5:00 and Sunday 12:00-5:00, as well as by appointment.
