Diane Harrison

Diane Harrison received a BFA in Textile Design from The Program in Artisanry at Boston University. Following ten plus years in New York City working as a product designer in the high end home furnishings and textile industry, she moved to Rhode Island where she pursued her interest in her artwork.

Her textiles are created using only natural dyes, organic materials and minerals from the earth. Plant materials provide deep, rich hues when used in a dye pot and married to luxurious silks, fine wool and other natural fibers. The process of botanical printing and dying results in fabrics which are often unexpected and always as intriguing as Mother Nature herself.
